Auction History Result f224 AFFECTIONATELY YOURS 3 movie lobby cards R40s Merle Oberon, Morgan Date Sold 10/25/2007Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 3 Undated (probably 1940s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (measure 11" x 14") (Learn More) Affectionately Yours, the 1941 Lloyd Bacon newspaper journalism post-divorce romantic love quadrangle comedy ("From the story by Fanya Foss and Aleen Leslie"; about an international reporter who has affairs wherever he goes, but when he is having an affair with a Spanish woman, his wife contacts him that she has met someone else and is divorcing him, and he heads back home to try to rescue his marriage, but the Spanish lady follows him!) starring Merle Oberon, Dennis Morgan, Rita Hayworth, Ralph Bellamy, George Tobias, James Gleason, Hattie McDaniel, and Jerome Cowan. Note that it is ironic that in this movie Rita Hayworth plays a Spanish woman, because Harry Cohn spent a fortune at Columbia disguising that she was Spanish! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a Warner Bros. non-linen lobby card (there are also linen lobby cards on this title). Some people believe the non-linen cards to be from 1941 as the linen cards are, but we believe them to be from an early 1940s re-release. When Warner Bros.' top stars all enlisted in World War II, Warner Bros. re-released many of their top titles, and the non-linen cards are from 1942 to 1945 re-releases. Condition: very good.
