An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Buck Benny Rides Again, the 1940 Mark Sandrich cowboy western musical comedy spoof ("Based on an Adaptation by Zion Myers of a Story by Arthur Stringer"; inspired by Jack Benny's long running radio "feud" with Fred Allen; during the feud, Benny boasted about his fictitious Nevada ranch, and what a great "cowboy" he was, and Allen "challenged" him to prove it, so this movie shows him going there and trying to do cowboy things, with comic results) starring Jack Benny (in the title role as himself), Ellen Drew, Andy Devine, Phil Harris, Virginia Dale, Lillian Cornell, Dennis Day, and Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson (billed as "Rochester"). Note that Dennis Day and Rochester were both associated with Jack Benny throughout their careers, on both his radio show and TV show. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, with tiny bits of paper loss scattered on parts of some folds. It had pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
