An Original Vintage Linenbacked Italian Advertising Poster (measures 39" x 53 3/4") (Learn More) Campari is an Italian alcoholic liqueur that was invented in 1860 by Gaspare Campari and is currently produced by the Campari Group. It is a bitter made from the infusion of herbs and fruit in alcohol and water and is characterized by its dark red color. Until 2006, the red color was achieved with carmine dye, derived from crushed cochineal insects Artist: Ugo Nespolo Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster was never folded. It had scuffs scattered throughout. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking.
