Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (measures 11" x 17"; 4 pages) (Learn More) Ghost Chasers, the 1951 William Beaudine mystery horror comedy starring The Bowery Boys (including Leo Gorcey, Huntz Hall, and William 'Billy' Benedict; billed as "Leo Gorcey and The Bowery Boys"), Lloyd Corrigan, Lela Bliss, Philip Van Zandt, Bernard Gorcey (as Louie Dambrowski), and Jan Kayne. Note that Bernard Gorcey was star Leo Gorcey's father, and he played Louie, the owner of the Sweet Shop, where the boys frequently hung out, and Louie was often involved in slapstick gags, and many times Leo Gorcey would be tormenting or slapping his own father! Important Added Info: Note that this pressbook is part of an amazing collection of 456 different horror/sci-fi pressbooks (our items #5387 through #5842)! The collector who assembled this collection did so over a span of several decades, and to duplicate it would surely take at least that long, if one started today. Since pressbooks were INTENDED to be cut up (the theater owners would cut out the newspaper ads to run in their local papers).
