Artist: Al Hirschfeld Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds. It had some creases in the right half of the top horizontal fold and minor wear on the other folds. It had some pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty backed, with next to no restoration, but at some point after it was backed, it acquired tiny areas of surface paper loss in the top right corner, in the edges of the leaves of the tree and above that. Any restorer could touch up those areas without re-backing the poster. Learn More about condition grades
