An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded German Movie Poster (measures 24" x 34") (Learn More) Schabernack (released in the U.S. in 1937 as "A Hoax"), the 1936 E. W. Emo German sanitarium comedy (about a sanitarium for rich people that is burnt down, and its residents are moved to a nearby hotel that was on the verge of bankruptcy!) starring Trude Marlen, Paul Horbiger, Hans Moser, Heinz Salfner, Max Gulstorff, Hans Richter, and Paul Henckels. Artist: Hurt Geffers Important Added Info: Note that we have never auctioned a poster (nor seen any other movie paper) from this movie as "pre-War" movie posters from Germany are virtually nonexistent (it seems likely that most were destroyed during the huge paper shortages that occurred during World War II). As is typical of pre-World War II German posters, the poster has a seal in the printing near one corner which gives the date of "15 JUN 1936")! Note also that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this German movie! Condition: very good. The poster has small separation at the ends of most of the folds, with tiny paper loss in two areas of the right blank border and the top crossfold. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition and after a simple linenbacking the very rare poster will look great! Learn More about condition grades
