An Original Vintage Theatrical 7 3/4" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

The Circus, the 1928 Charlie Chaplin silent slapstick big top circus comedy ("Chaplin's uproarious escapades under the Big Top.") starring Charlie Chaplin (Charles Chaplin; as the Tramp), Al Ernest Garcia, Merna Kennedy, Harry Crocker, George Davis, and Tiny Sanford. Note that Chaplin won an Oscar for "versatility and genius in acting, writing, directing and producing The Circus". Though initially nominated for Best Actor, the Academy decided to remove Chaplin's name from the competitive classes and give him a Special Award instead.

Important Added Info: Note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 7 3/4" x 10" [20 x 25 cm].

Condition: good to very good. The still was folded slightly below center at a slight diagonal, running through Chaplin's pants (see our image). Someone put clear tape on the back of most of that fold.
