An Original Vintage Theatrical Kraftbacked Folded Six-Sheet Movie Poster (6sh; measures 81" x 81" [206 x 206 cm]) (Learn More)

The Foreign Legion, the 1928 Edward Sloman silent military French Foreign Legion romantic action melodrama ("From the story 'The Red Mirage' by I.A.R. Wylie") starring Norman Kerry, Lewis Stone, Crauford Kent, June Marlowe, and Mary Nolan. Note that star Mary Nolan was a former Ziegfeld girl who was then known as "Bubbles Wilson", but she had a very troubled life, filled with scandal, and she retired from movies in 1932, and was later a drug addict, and died in 1948 at the age of 43, completely forgotten. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that first release 1928 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a window card from this movie until we received this six-sheet! Note that this poster has been kraftbacked, which means it was backed onto a brown paper soon after it was printed (this process is called "kraft-backing", and posters with it are called "kraft-backed"). One could have it professionally removed from the kraft paper and linenbacked, and it would look great! Also note that this poster was folded in an unusual way that had one less fold than usual, and it will need to be sent in a larger than normal flat package that measures approximately 12" x 23".
