A Careless Word... A Needless Loss, the 1943 U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster encouraging citizens to be careful with sensitive information, and featuring Anton Otto Fischer artwork of a dead U.S. sailor washed up on a beach. This poster might seem "heavy handed" to today's world, but America during World War II was very conscious of not accidentally giving information to the enemy.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: fair to good. The poster has darkened and it has some deterioration and paper loss in the upper quarter (mostly noticeable from the back but Please see our super-sized image). It has some pinholes, creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges and some tape repairs on back. It is somewhat fragile. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid and please do not bid unless you can accept the defects described above, or you are willing to pay to have them properly restored.
