An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Big Shakedown, the 1934 John Francis Dillon romantic racketeer crime melodrama (set right after Prohibition was repealed, about a pharmacist who goes into business with a racketeer, making medicines homemade and then packaging them as name brands, and they get rich, but then when the pharmacist wants to quit, the racketeer threatens his wife, but when his wife loses their baby after taking one of their bogus medicines, the pharmacist has had enough) starring Charles Farrell, Bette Davis, Ricardo Cortez, Glenda Farrell, Allen Jenkins, Henry O'Neill, Dewey Robinson, and John Wray NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a handful of stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper) until we received this lobby card! We are also currently auctioning the title card that shows Bette Davis (we believe she is only in two of the scenes and on the title card). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There is surface paper loss near the center of the top blank border and it very slightly affects the "S" of "DAVIS". There is a 1" tear in the center of the top border. There is a red mark from the bottom of the "D" of "DAVIS" into the background beneath it. Other than these defects (which could easily be corrected through restoration), the card is in excellent condition and has had no restoration. Learn More about condition grades
