An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 13 3/4" x 20" [35 x 51 cm]) (Learn More) Sommaren med Monika (released in the U.S. in 1955 by Kroger Babb as a sex movie under the titles of "Summer with Monika", "Monika", and "Monika, the Story of a Bad Girl"), the 1953 Ingmar Bergman Swedish romantic coming-of-age melodrama ("No one man could ever hope to satisfy her lust for love!"; "Around the world - Everybody's Talking About Monika", but actually, this was a serious study of a teenage girl entering into womanhood and her difficulties in transitioning from a child to an adult; it was its single nude scene that let Babb promote it as a sex movie!) starring Harriet Andersson (billed as "Miss Harriet Andersson"; "The Sensational Young Swedish Actress"; in the title role as Monika), Lars Ekborg, Dagmar Ebbesen, Ake Fridell, and Naemi Briese NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards).
