An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Love Watches, the 1918 Henry Houry silent romantic love quadrangle comedy melodrama ("From Billie Burke's celebrated stage success of the same title."; about two couples who think that they are mismatched, but after some experimentation, they realize they belong together) starring Corinne Griffith, Denton Vane, Florence Deshon, Edmund Burns, and Julia Swayne Gordon. Note that this movie was based on a very successful Broadway play from 1908 that starred Billie Burke. It shows how popular Burke was in 1918, that they would reference her stage show from a decade before in the advertising for this movie. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good.
