The Voluntary Movie Rating System the 1990 information booklet. It was sent from the MPAA to theater owners in September 1990 to let them know of the changes to the Motion Picture Rating System. It was made up to look like a presskit with a folder containing 3 booklets and 11 supplements. Note that this booklet includes information on the creation of the NC-17 rating, created to replace the X rating.
