An Original Vintage Theatrical Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Her Love Story, the 1924 Allan Dwan silent European royalty romantic love triangle melodrama ("A throbbing page from the Book of Life"; "By Mary Roberts Rinehart"; set in the mythical European country of Viatavia, Swanson is a Princess whose father wants her to marry the King of another country, but she is in love with one of the King's guards, and they secretly get married, and she becomes pregnant, at which point, the King exiles her husband and sends her to a convent; but her husband returns and they kidnap her own child from the palace and flee the country) starring Gloria Swanson, Ian Keith, George Fawcett, Echlin Gayer, and Mario Majeroni. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This poster is incredibly rare. We had only auctioned a one-sheet and a lobby card from this movie other than this single half-sheet, which we auctioned it in 2015. The person who purchased it in that auction has now re-consigned it to us, so it is still the only half-sheet from this movie we have ever auctioned! A talented restorer gel backed the poster (meaning they backed the poster onto a gel material) and they then performed excellent restoration to the defects described below, and then removed the gel backing, so that the poster still exactly looks and feels like an original poster (and it is!), with no backing at all. The restoration was done really well, and the poster displays really well! Condition: very good. The poster was gel backed (see above). This particular poster was never folded. It had paper loss in the bottom blank corners, and tiny paper loss in the top corners, with tiny paper loss in the center of the top and bottom borders, but in all cases, only blank white paper was affected. The poster was gel backed by a talented professional and expert restoration was performed to the above defects. The poster looks fantastic, and it has had truly minor touch up, and best of all, it still completely looks and feels like an unrestored poster! Learn More about condition grades
