An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More)

Lola Lane was an actress from the 1920s to the 1940s. She was one of the Lane Sisters (three sisters who performed together with Gale Page in a series of movies where they played four sisters). Some of her movies include: Marked Woman, Four Daughters, Murder on a Honeymoon, and Lost Canyon. Note that most people would naturally assume that there were only three Lane sisters in real life, which was why they had to cast a non-sister in the role of the fourth movie sister. But actually, they DID have a fourth sister, Leota, but she had a screen test, and did so poorly that she was sent home (which surely must have made for strained holiday dinners!). Lola passed away in 1981 at the age of 75.
Important Added Info: Note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. There is a Dell Publishing Company stamp on the back that is dated "JUN 28 1938" and also a photography credit from a Warner Bros. photographer (it is very light, but the photographer appears to be "Fryer"). Written on the back of the still in pencil is "Lola Lane in Sister Act", which would likely seem to be a working title for either "Four Daughters" or "Daughters Courageous" (if anyone knows for sure what this was a working title for, please e-mail us and we will post it here).

Condition: very good to fine. The still was used in a Dell magazine, so there are printer's instructions on the bottom of the still written in black grease pencil.
