Aufruf! Oefen, Herde, Sowie Kochgerate u. Lampen (literally translates to "Call! Ovens, Stoves, as Well as Cooking Equipment and Lamps"), the 1940s German World War II (WWII) Home Front poster (with taglines that translate to "The entire population of Augsburg and the surrounding area is hereby called upon to immediately register ovens, stoves, cooking utensils and lamps of all kinds with the municipal utilities, sales department Riedingerhaus, Obstmarkt 2, in order to equip the accommodation rooms for people who have become homeless. Personal registrations or inquiries can be made there or by telephone. Remuneration can be granted according to the Reichsleistungsgesetz. I trust the often tried and tested sense of sacrifice of the Augsburg population that they too are happy to do their part to alleviate the hardship and distress into which comrades of the people were brought through a ruthless enemy through no fault of their own. -The Lord Mayor of the Gauhauptstadt Augsburg") encouraging citizens to help the homeless of Augsburg, Germany.
