An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Baby, Take a Bow, the 1934 Harry Lachman juvenile family Depression Era reformed-criminal-with-family-goes-straight musical comedy ("'Come on in... Let's have some fun!'"; "America's newest rave... singing, dancing, laughing") starring Shirley Temple (in her first top billed role, one of the first of her many very successful movies, all with a similar theme!; "The biggest little star in pictures"), James Dunn, Claire Trevor, Alan Dinehart, Ray Walker, and Dorothy Libaire. Note that Shirley Temple had appeared in several shorts and in a few features before this, and the public loved her, and she was given top billing in this movie, and it is easy to see why when you watch the movie! The movie concerns Dunn, who is a reformed criminal who wants to go straight and live with his pretty wife and baby daughter, but a gangster from his past and a detective who doesn't believe he is reformed make it hard for him to do so. But the movie comes to life whenever Temple is on the screen! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1934 movie paper from this early Shirley Temple movie is incredibly rare. We have only auctioned a few posters from this movie and never before auctioned this great title lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There are light water stains scattered in the bottom left corner, with a few faint smudges and stains around the edges, and a very few within the image. There are some tiny pinholes around the edges and the card has darkened slightly. It was attached to a mat with three pieces of tape on the back of the bottom border, and they were removed, causing surface paper loss in those areas, but it does not affect the front. This lobby card is an excellent candidate for restoration, because it is likely some or many of the stains and smudges can be removed through chemical means, and after proper restoration, this card will look fantastic (although I could well imagine many people displaying this card just as it is)!
