NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Life magazine style 40x60! When this classic movie was first released in 1968, MGM made a "regular" 40x60 (with the McCall space wheel art), and it had a Cinerama logo on it. We have auctioned two of those. They then made a second version of that 40x60 without the Cinerama logo (for theaters that did not show it in Cinerama), and we have auctioned seven of those. But we have NEVER auctioned this advance Life Magazine style, which surely was sent to theaters before the movie first opened! Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It was stored rolled and there are light "waves" in the poster, caused by how it sat for so many years. There are creases in the upper part of the poster, including in the three color photos at top. There are staple holes in the corners and in the center of the top border. There are creases scattered down the left and right borders, and a few staple holes scattered in the poster. Obviously, the appearance of this poster (which has survived pretty well!) can be greatly improved through restoration, but bear the above in mind and read our description before bidding on this incredibly rare poster.
