What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had tiny paper loss at some crossfolds and minor wear on the folds, with some smudges and tiny stains in the white background areas and faint staining scattered across the bottom of the poster, more so in the left and right corners, and also some in the right border of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, with next to no restoration performed. Unfortunately, after it was backed, it acquired water staining down the left edge, both in the excess linen and in the poster itself. Certainly, one could have restoration performed to that area (either with or without re-backing the poster), but bear this in mind before placing a bid on this poster.
