Ten Little Indians, the 1965 (released in the U.S. in 1966) George Pollock English romantic mystery crime thriller ("Agatha Christie's Classic Mystery"; "For the first time in motion picture history, The Whodunit Break! Just before the gripping climax of the film, you will be given sixty seconds to guess the killer's identity! The film will pause and on the screen you will see clues to help you decide who the murderer is... WE DARE YOU TO GUESS!"; "Ten people trapped in a house of death... And the murderer determined to kill them all - one by one by one..!"; "Ten people trapped in a house of terror... watching... waiting... trying to find out which one among them is the murderer!"; "The Whodunit break! A first in movies! Sixty seconds for you to guess the killer!"; "The Whodunit Break! A first in motion pictures! Just before the gripping climax of the film, you will be given sixty seconds to guess the killer's identity! The film will pause on the screen you will see clues to help you decide who the murderer is... WE DARE YOU TO GUESS!"; based on the novel by Agatha Christie) starring Hugh O'Brian, Shirley Eaton, Fabian, Leo Genn, Stanley Holloway, Marianne Hoppe, Wilfrid Hyde-White, Daliah Lavi, Dennis Price, and Mario Adorf. Note that this movie had a "Whodunit Break" gimmick that invited movie-goers to guess who the killer was during a 60 second break at the end, "We Dare You To Guess!" Note that this book was originally published in 1939 as "Ten Little Niggers", taken from the nursery rhyme that had been written many years before. That title was already offensive in the U.S., and the title was changed to "And Then There Were None" for the U.S. publication, and for the 1945 film version that followed (that is the final line of the nursery rhyme). In England, the book title was later changed to "Ten Little Indians", and in 1965, an English remake was given that title, as were several other remakes. Ironically, the name "Ten Little Indians" is now itself "politically incorrect", so that name also is no longer used.
