An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Three Loan Wolves, the 1946 Jules White pawnbroker slapstick comedy short ("They turn a pawn shop into a riotous Laugh-shop!"; the Stooges are pawnbrokers who owe money to loan sharks, and meanwhile, a woman leaves her baby as collateral on a loan, and they end up raising the boy, and the short is told in flashback by them explaining to their "son" how they came to get him) starring The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, Curly Howard), Beverly Warren, and Tiny Brauer (billed as "Harold Brauer") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that The Three Stooges comedies were known for their violent "cartoon" humor, but this poster really goes over the edge with Moe and Curly working Larry over in the worst possible way with machine tools! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had an extra horizontal fold 1 1/2" below the regular top fold and a second one 1 1/2" above the regular bottom fold. There were some tiny tears and small areas of paper loss on parts of some foldlines. There was a semi-circular tear running from the background at the edge of Moe's cheek across to his finger and ending in the device he is holding. There was a 10" irregular tear starting in the bottom of the girl's dress below the "y" of "by" and running up through the "y", and curving around along the edge of her dress, and going over to the background next to the bottom of the "T" of "THREE" in the title. There was a 3" tear in the left of the girl's dress. There was 1/2" x 1" of paper loss in the left of the bottom foldline, near the middle of the girl's dress, but otherwise, there was next to no paper loss with any of the above tears. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was really expertly backed, and while you can see slight signs of the above defects when you stare closely at the poster, it displays fantastically from even a foot away, and it in no way has a "restored look". It will look fantastic on the new owner's wall! Learn More about condition grades
