Skippy, the 1931 Norman Taurog (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) juvenile comedy ("Percy Crosby's lovable scamp on the screen"; "Grown-ups and kids! See 'Skippy'"; "Skippy is in the movies now in person"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; based on the comic strip by Percy Crosby) starring Jackie Cooper (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Skippy), Robert Coogan (as Sooky), Mitzi Green, Jackie Searl, Willard Robertson, Enid Bennett, and Guy Oliver. Note that this movie was followed by a sequel, "Sooky", the same year, with the same characters.
