An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Ghost City, the 1932 Harry L. Fraser cowboy western ("A 'Bill and Andy' Western"; "Western Electric Sound System") starring Bill Cody, Andy Shuford, Helen Foster, Walter Miller, and Thomas A. Curran. Note that you may never have heard of Andy Shuford, but he had a VERY interesting career! He appeared in six Our Gang shorts between 1927 and 1929 (when he was 10 to 12 years old). He then had a tiny role in "The Big Trail" with John Wayne! After a couple more tiny roles, he was teamed up with cowboy Bill Cody in this series of eight westerns where he was Cody's teenage pal, and he was given equal billing to Cody, and they were called "Bill and Andy Westerns", all made in 1931 and 1932. When World War II broke out, he enlisted and became a pilot, flying 35 missions for the English, and he stayed in the military, never returning to movies. He was a colonel when he retired, and he passed away in 1995 at the age of 77. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster was folded somewhat oddly. There is a 4" tear at lower right and a small tear at upper right. There is writing on the back that slightly bleeds through to the front at lower right (in the entire panel.) It is otherwise in generally nice condition given its age.
