A Folded Special Museum Exhibition Catalog (measures 16 1/2" x 21 3/4" [42 x 55 cm]) (Learn More)

This Is Not Here, the 1971 art exhibition created by Yoko Ono and John Lennon which was held from October 9th (Lennon's 31st birthday) to October 21st at the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, New York. The exhibition featured art by Yoko Ono, John Lennon and several "guest artists". Six thousand people visited the museum on the opening day due to rumors of a Beatles reunion, but only John Lennon and Ringo Starr attended the event. Note that George Maciunas created a poster to promote the exhibit which featured Lennon and Ono's faces within the letters of the exhibition's title. This artwork was also featured on a 12-page catalog/newspaper which included listings of all the works on display, Yoko's writings and reviews.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is an incredibly rare 12 page promotional faux "newspaper" catalog that was designed by John Lennon, Peter Bendry and George Maciunas to promote a retrospective exhibition of Lennon's, Yoko Ono's and some friends and other artist's artwork. The exhibition ran from October 9th 1971 (John Lennon's birthday) to October 27th, 1971 at the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, New York. Each page measures 16 1/2" x 21 3/4" and has a faint embossed stamp at lower right that reads "Lennon-Ono Original Gallery AO - Certified 1970 to 1974" with the letters "HI" in pen!

Condition: very good to fine. Each page has a faint embossed stamp with tiny writing (see above) and the first page has a collector's archival stamp. The very rare catalog is overall in excellent condition!
