An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Two-Panel (known in Italy as a "4 Fogli") Movie Poster (2p; measures 55" x 78" [140 x 198 cm]) (Learn More)

Osvobozhdenie (released in English-speaking countries as "Liberation"), the 1970 - 1971 Yuriy Ozerov (Yuri Ozerov) Russian/East German/Polish/Italian/Yugoslavian 5-part epic World War II (WWII) military thriller melodrama starring Nikolay Olyalin, Larisa Golubkina, Vasiliy Shukshin, Mikhail Ulyanov, and Bukhuti Zakariadze (as Stalin). Note that the films are a dramatized account of several key battles, and the films include: Osvobozhdenie: Ognennaya Duga (The Fire Bulge), Osvobozhdenie: Proryv (Breakthrough), Osvobozhdenie: Napravlenie Glavnogo Udara (Direction of the Main Blow), Osvobozhdenie: Bitva za Berlin (The Battle of Berlin), and Osvobozhdenie: Posledniy Shturm (The Last Assault). Unfortunately, as the five films starred many of the same people, it can be very difficult to determine which film a poster is promoting. Furthermore, different countries edited parts into single films (the U.S. even had multiple distributors). Therefore, we have created a single description for the series and will note which part it is promoting when possible.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: As noted above, posters from this 5 part epic are very confusing, because a poster from another country can easily be from any of the 5 parts. We have previously auctioned an Italian poster from 1973 that had a completely different image and title from this one. This one is dated 1970, and we don't know what part it is from. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this Italian two-panel was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap.

Condition: good to very good.
