An Original Vintage 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] News Photo (Learn More)

Sharon Tate was an actress in the 1960s. She was the wife of Roman Polanski and was tragically murdered by Charles Manson's followers in 1969, when she was 26 years old, and 8 1/2 months pregnant. Some of her movies include: The Fearless Vampire Killers, Eye of the Devil, Valley of the Dolls, The Americanization of Emily, and Rosemary's Baby AND Roman Polanski is a French-born Polish director from the 1950s to the present. Some of his movies include: The Pianist (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Chinatown, Rosemary's Baby, Frantic, The Fearless Vampire Killers, and Repulsion. He has acted in several of his movies, and he has unfortunately been in the news many times (and not for his movies!). His wife Sharon Tate was murdered by the Manson cult when she was 8 1/2 months pregnant with his child. In 1977, he raped a 13 year old, and absconded to Europe when he heard the judge in his case was going to sentence him to 50 years in prison. Polanski hasn't been in the United States since!

Important Added Info: Note that this news photo, which measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm], was released on the day Sharon Tate was murdered (there are several stamps on the back, but the first stamp is from that date), and it is in questionable taste, because it shows her and Polanski "in happy times", skipping down the stairs after their wedding.

Condition: good to very good. There are faint creases and scuffs scattered throughout the news photo, but they are mostly only noticeable when it is tilted to the light.
