An Original 1947 (from the first release of this movie in France) Vintage Theatrical Folded French "Affiche" Movie Poster (23x32; measures 23 1/2" x 32 1/2" [60 x 83 cm]) (Learn More) Lost in a Harem, the 1944 Charles Reisner Arabian romantic fantasy screwball comedy ("Music! Maidens! Merriment!") starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Marilyn Maxwell, John Conte, Douglass Dumbrille, Jimmy Dorsey & His Orchestra, and Lock Martin (billed as "J. Lockhard Martin"; in his film debut). Note that Martin was a giant at 7' 4" (some reports suggest 7' 7"!), and he later also played "Gort" in "The Day the Earth Stood Still", before passing away in 1959 at the age of 42. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has darkened slightly (typical of vintage French posters, because of the type of paper they were printed on) and there is a small amount of tattering at some of the crossfolds and a small amount of tattering and paper loss around the edges. The poster's defects are pretty minor, and after a simple linenbacking by a talented professional, the poster will look great, but I'm sure many collectors would be quite happy with this poster just as it is!
