An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Joan Leslie (born Joan Agnes Theresa Sadie Brodel) was an actress from the 1930s to the 1990s. She started acting in 1936 at the age of 11, and she was billed under her real name of Joan Brodel, and she sang and danced, and she did not get to use those talents in enough of her movies. She had her breakthrough in 1941 in High Sierra with Humphrey Bogart, and she was Joan Leslie from then on! Some of her other movies include: Yankee Doodle Dandy, Repeat Performance, and Sergeant York. She passed away in 2015 at the age of 90. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Joan Leslie! Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic!
