A Linenbacked French Advertising Poster (measures 16 1/2" x 21 1/4" [42 x 54 cm]) (Learn More) Jazz Les Ets Marcel Faivre, the 1940s French advertising poster promoting the purchase of drum kits from Marcel Faivre (who supplied "Paris conservatories and the best theater and radio artists"), and featuring J. Rassiat art of a well-dressed drummer at work Artist: J. Rassiat Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had some brown staining near the middle of the right border and a lesser amount in the rest of the borders, with two tiny brown stains in the right of the blank rectangle at bottom. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
