Joe Palooka in Triple Cross, the 1951 Reginald Le Borg boxing sports crime comedy ("Based on the Comic Strip by Ham Fisher"; "Story by Henry Bancroft") starring Joe Kirkwood Jr. (in the title role as Joe Palooka), James Gleason, Cathy Downs, John Emery, Steve Brodie, Don Harvey, and Jimmy Wallington

Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!).

The poster had small holes at the crossfolds, tiny tears, and small paper loss down the vertical foldline and pinholes, creases, tears, and small paper loss in the borders. The person who restored the poster did a pretty good job of touching up the above basically minor defects. Overall, the poster looks pretty nice, and the restoration is mostly only noticeable from inches away.
