Important Added Info: Note that we have been told that the artist behind this poster is likely Mario Zamparelli, who created many posters for RKO in the 1950s. Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and a Canadian censor stamp in the top right corner. It had some pinholes around the edges and small paper loss in Mitchum's cheek at middle left. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
