An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Bringing Up Baby, the 1938 Howard Hawks romantic raising-a-leopard screwball comedy (about a paleontologist trying to get a million dollars for his museum, and he is joined in his quest by a flighty heiress who has a pet leopard named Baby!) starring Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant, Charlie Ruggles, Barry Fitzgerald, May Robson, Walter Catlett, Fritz Feld, Asta the Dog (the same dog as in the Thin Man movies!), Nissa the Leopard (in the title role as Baby), and Leona Roberts NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1938 movie paper from this classic Howard Hawks comedy is extremely desired by collectors, and when it comes to auction, it almost always sells for lots of money. Over our many years, we have only auctioned a single one-sheet, insert, and window card, as well as five lobby cards. In 2017, we auctioned a scene lobby card for $2,501! Note that there is a stamp on the back that reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF Michael R. Hawks", who most would consider the premier lobby card collector and expert in the world (and he is still an active collector, looking for the last few items he needs!). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good to fine. There are two pairs of tiny staple holes in the top center background area and one pinhole each in the bottom corners. There is slight darkening in the edges of the blank borders, with a few faint smudges around the edges (see our images). There is a piece of tape on the back of the center of the top border, but it was not put there for any restoration purpose. Learn More about condition grades
