But they'd never forget the day he drifted into town."; about a mysterious stranger who comes to a small town, where the residents hire him to keep them safe from three outlaws) starring Clint Eastwood (as The Stranger), Verna Bloom, Mariana Hill, Mitch Ryan, Jack Ging, Stefan Gierasch, Billy Curtis, and Walter Barnes NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been folded! That is incredibly unusual for a 1973 one-sheet. This is because this poster was sent to a theater owner in Europe unfolded. In the United States at the time, virtually no one-sheets were not folded. 25 years ago we auctioned another unfolded example of this poster, but that is the ONLY other unfolded example of this poster we have ever auctioned, and this one is in wonderful condition as well! We are also auctioning an unfolded example of the domestic one-sheet (in a separate auction) which comes to us from the same European consignor. Note also that this poster was stamped "FOREIGN" which means it was printed for use outside the United States (there would also have been posters stamped "DOMESTIC" for use within the United States). Often, the "FOREIGN" posters would have a different (sometimes racier) image than that for the one used in the United States. Condition: very good to fine.
