Hear the songs you can't forget!"; "The king and queen of rhythm on a joyous jamboree!"; "Music and Lyrics by Irving Berlin"; "See them dance the sensational Piccolino"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Edward Everett Horton, Helen Broderick, Erik Rhodes, Eric Blore, Donald Meek, and Lucille Ball (in a bit part as a flower clerk). Note that this was the one of the nine wonderful movies that Astaire and Rogers made between 1933 and 1939 (they made one final movie, "The Barkleys of Broadway", fourteen years later in 1949). Prior to paperbacking, the card had many stains, smudges, and scuffs scattered throughout, including in the faces of the stars. It had pinholes, tears, and areas of paper loss around the edges, with some scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to paperbacking. Given its many defects, the poster was pretty well backed. The borders were painted over to "even them out", and the lettering of the title and "FRED" and "GINGER" were also painted over. The rest of the poster was NOT painted over (so that the poster would not be completely painted over), but this means that there are still many noticeable faint stains scattered throughout, including in the stars' faces, so please read our description above and look at our super-sized image before placing a bid on this poster.
