Les Quatre Cents Coups (released in the U.S. as "Francois Truffaut's The Four Hundred Blows"), the classic 1959 Francois Truffaut French New Wave semi-autobiographical troubled teen family relationship coming-of-age melodrama ("Angel Faces hell-bent for violence"; based on Truffaut's troubled childhood in France; Leaud played him as a young boy in this movie and went on to portray him in four other Truffaut movies!) starring Jean-Pierre Leaud, Claire Maurier, Albert Remy, Guy Decomble, Georges Flamant, and Patrick Auffay (as Rene)

Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned one example of this extremely rare poster in all our years of auctioning (and that was 15 years ago when it sold for $546, but that example was linenbacked and this one is not)! Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good. The poster has darkened along portions of the foldlines and edges and there is some separation and tiny paper loss in and around the top crossfold. That area is backed with tape and touched up on the front and it has some amateur restoration at the left edge of the top horizontal fold. There is general fold and border wear. After proper restoration the very rare poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
