An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) Slattery's Hurricane, the 1949 Andre De Toth Florida post-World War II (WWII) romantic Navy Naval military pilot airplane aviation crime action adventure thriller ("From a story by Herman Wouk"; about a former Navy pilot, who is now a commercial pilot, and while he flies into a hurricane, he reminisces about being a fighter pilot) starring Richard Widmark (in the title role as Lt. Willard Francis Slattery), Linda Darnell, Veronica Lake, John Russell, Gary Merrill, Walter Kingsford, Raymond Greenleaf, Stanley Waxman, and Joseph De Santis. Note that Veronica Lake had been perhaps the number one star of the early 1940s, but her career fizzled in the mid-1940s, and this movie was an attempted "comeback", but the studio had little faith in her, and she was third billed and barely pictured in the advertising. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been machine folded! It is very difficult to find an unfolded copy of most half-sheets, especially from before 1970! Condition: good. semi-circular pen mark through bottom center credits area; creases, smudges, and small tears around the edges of the poster and a very few within the image area Learn More about condition grades
