BOSS DIDN'T SAY GOOD MORNING 1sh '37

Lease from Hershenson/Allen Archive

An Original Vintage One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh) (Learn More)

The Boss Didn't Say Good Morning, the 1937 Jacques Tourneur office employment comedy short ("A miniature as seen and told by Carey Wilson"; a clever story of a man who goes to work on Friday and his boss appears to snub him, and he worries that it means he will get fired, and he worries so much that he forgets to do something important, so when he goes home, he writes a letter of resignation, and gives it to his son to mail, but then he meets the boss socially and the boss is very warm towards him, and he realizes it was all in his imagination and he has to try to undo what he has done!) starring Jack Mulhall, John Ince, Shelia Bromley, Donald Haines, and Carey Wilson (as the narrator). Note that this was one of a series of MGM shorts called "Miniatures" that were simply "mini movies" that were shown in between features in the 1930s. This one was directed by Jacques Tourneur, who a few years later would become very famous for his collaborations with Val Lewton, on movies like "Cat People"!
