Eastern: Walt Disney World, the circa 1971 airplane airline aviation travel poster promoting travel to Walt Disney World aboard Eastern Airlines ("Fly Eastern - Your wings to the family vacation Kingdom"; "Eastern - The official airline of Walt Disney World") and featuring colorful art of Mickey Mouse against a backdrop of attractions in Walt Disney World including Cinderella's Castle, the Hall of Presidents, the Haunted Mansion, the monorail system, and the Contemporary Resort! Walt Disney World opened in October of 1971, and we feel certain this poster dates from either that time or early 1972. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned one example of this extremely rare poster in all our years of auctioning! HOWEVER, that poster was slightly different than this one. That poster measured slightly differently and had different cropping around the edges of the art. There is slightly different printing information at lower right. We don't know if that poster predates this poster or if they were printed at the same time and if anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: good. The poster is rippled and there is some slight discoloration in portions of the edges. There is a long vertical scuff in Mickey's face and there are fine creases scattered in the poster. It is otherwise "all there" and still colorful and after proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
