An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Pot o' Gold, the 1941 George Marshall romantic musical comedy ("The big musical fun-show that hits the jack-pot for joy!"; "A golden flow of the gayest musical entertainment ever! Jimmy and Paulette to make your heart skip a beat! Songs to set your toes tapping! Girls to set your pulse racing!"; "It's the prize romantic laugh of the year... More fun than winning the Pot o' Gold!"; "Jimmy sings! Paulette dances! Horace swings! Winninger prances!"; "There's millions in it! Millions of laughs... Hit tunes... Gorgeous girls... And millions of heart-thrills as Jimmy tries to trap Paulette's heart. It's the screen's merriest love affair set to swing!"; "produced by James Roosevelt [FDR's son!]"; "Story by Walter De Leon, Monte Brice, Andrew Bennison, Harry Tugend"; about a young man who loses his music shop, goes to live with his rich uncle, but befriends his uncle's enemies) starring James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart; "1941 Academy Award Winner... better than ever in another prize role"), Paulette Goddard, Horace Heidt (billed as "Horace Heidt and his Musical Knights"), Charles Winninger, Mary Gordon, and Art Carney (in a bit part as a radio announcer) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this slide comes with the protective cardboard holders that were placed over each side of the glass when they were shipped to theaters (to prevent breakage), and they obviously worked well, or otherwise they would have had to send them a different way! 99% of the time, theaters discarded these cardboard inserts, and so they are almost never found with the slide, but this slide has its original cardboard inserts! Also note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: fine. This glass slide is in really excellent condition, and we feel that EVERY collector would be happy to own it. It IS possible it may have a MINOR defect or defects, but nothing at all significant. But we bet many dealers would call items in this grade "mint" or "near mint"! Learn More about condition grades
