An Original Vintage Theatrical Chapter #1 (Dynamite) Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Phantom Rider, the 1936 Ray Taylor cowboy western serial ("The mystery man of the plains rides again!"; "15 chapters thrill packed with dangerous adventures!") starring Buck Jones (in the title role as Buck Grant), Marla Shelton, Diana Gibson, Harry Woods, Joey Ray, Eddie Gribbon, Helen Shipman, Frank LaRue, and George Cooper. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. There are stains in the left of the top of the card and a few scattered around the edges. There is a pinhole in the center of the left and right borders.
