Badger silent spy espionage romantic melodrama ( "The love drama of a Parisian dancer who leads two lives"; based on the play by Emile Augier; a wild story of a Parisian cabaret dancer who poses as a peasant girl and becomes engaged to an American captain at the end of World War I; she becomes a spy for the French Secret Service, but because it appears she is having an affair with a German officer, the people think she is a traitor; she goes to America and marries her captain, but she meets the German officer at a party, and she denounces him as a spy, and he reveals she was a cabaret dancer, but she is given the Legion of Honor, so she becomes a hero) starring Betty Compson, Wallace MacDonald, Theodore Kosloff, Sheldon Lewis, and Jack Joyce.
