You fight your way out of Thunder Gorge and Cree ambush! You cross the granite-walled Rockies! You're swept up by the swirling 'white waters' of the Maligne, Bow and Snake Indian Rivers... As Monroe and Mitchum meet, fight and love!"; "Only yesterday I was the honky-tonk dancer, the gambler's doll."; "He was the frontier-blazer, a man used to taking what he wanted..."; "Here, we sensed our over-powering loneliness."; "In the wonder of High-Fidelity Directional-Stereophonic Sound"; "Engulfs you in a flood of excitement!"; "And she can sing too!"; "From a story by Louis Lantz"; about a saloon singer and her gambler husband, who are rafting in Canada to register a mining claim; they are rescued by a farmer and his young son, and the cowardly gambler deserts his wife, and she, the farmer, and the son have to fend off an Indian attack) starring Robert Mitchum, Marilyn Monroe, Rory Calhoun, Tommy Rettig, Murvyn Vye, and Douglas Spencer. Artist: Jock Hinchliffe Important Added Info: Note that this is a great two-page trade ad taken out of a Kinematograph Weekly English trade magazine (we have a number of them in this set of auctions, and also some one-page English trade ads and a few English brochures). Studios would run these elaborate 2-page ads in issues of this magazine, and they often had images not found on any of the regular movie posters (either English or U.S.). This 2-page trade ad was removed from a 1954 issue of this magazine, and it will look incredible displayed on the new owner's wall. The back of those two pages have text or ads for other movies from that time, and we have not pictured those back pages because the primary interest to bidders is the great two-page color ad, which measures 11" x 17". Condition: very good. The ad was removed from a magazine (see above). It was the centerfold of the magazine so the two pages are on a single sheet, and there are staple holes at the spine (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
