Important Added Info: Note that this poster was bought by a collector in the 1960s! He kept it for around 20 years, and then sold it to another longtime collector, who has kept it all these remaining years! There are very few 1930s and 1940s Universal horror posters left in the hobby that have NOT been linenbacked or paperbacked, and fewer yet that have no restoration at all (other than tape repair that was performed decades ago). This poster fits that description! It is extremely rare anyway, but to be able to get it without any professional restoration is something that will happen less and less often with any Universal horror posters over the coming years! Note that this poster was folded at one time but because it has brown paper tape on the back of the foldlines, we will definitely NOT refold it, and will sent it rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. The poster had completely separated on the top two foldlines and partially separated on the bottom foldline. Someone put 3" wide brown paper tape on the back of most of each of the three foldlines. The poster also has a semi-circular brown stain near the middle of the left border, extending into the edge of the blue background. It has paper loss in the bottom right blank corner. It has surface paper loss in the top left blank corner, where a piece of tape was removed, and a tape stain in the top right blank corner, where there was once a piece of tape. There is tiny paper loss in the center of the top blank border. There is a tiny amount of surface paper loss in the center of the top foldline and two tiny bits of surface paper loss in the bottom foldline. There are a few tiny tears and faint stains around the edges and a few faint scuffs and tiny dot stains in the image. Other than the above defects (none of which are all that substantial at all), the poster is in surprisingly good condition. It will display great on anyone's wall just as it is (especially if the person wants to leave it unrestored), or certainly, any talented restorer could easily remove the tape from the back and paperback the poster, and after proper paperbacking, it will look incredible!
