An Autographed 8 1/2" x 11" Movie Still Reproduction (Learn More) Marc Lawrence was a character actor of the 1930s to 1950s, who appeared in many B-movies (often as a criminal), and in a few major movies as well, including Key Largo and The Asphalt Jungle (as Cobby). He was caught up in the blacklisting and appeared before the House Un-American Activities Committee, where he named names (it was also revealed that he had had a mental breakdown and been hospitalized just before giving his testimony). An interesting footnote is that his daughter, Toni Lawrence, was once married to Billy Bob Thornton! Marc passed away in 2005 at the age of 95. Important Added Info: Note that this reproduction still has been personally autographed (signed) by Marc Lawrence. It is one of a collection of 30 reproduction stills which were consigned to us by a man who lived in Hollywood and worked in the movie business and met many stars in the 1960s to 1980s, and when he knew he would meet a celebrity, he would purchase a reproduction still of that celebrity, and get it autographed by them when he met them. We do not issue "certificates of authenticity", but we know the above to be true, and we feel 100% certain that the autographs on the stills in this collection are genuine. Note that we normally never sell reproduction movie paper, but we do so this time because the autographs are genuine and were obtained in person, even though they are on reproduction stills. We have put a generic date of "'70s" on all these reproduction stills, but they may have been created during the 1960s or 1980s. Also note that this still measures 8 1/2" x 11". Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
