An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Dark Delusion, the 1947 Willis Goldbeck medical doctor hospital romantic crime film noir ("How much can a guilty girl hide?"; "To look at her, you'd never think it possible!"; the final movie with Lionel Barrymore playing Dr. Gillespie; Dr. Kildare is long gone from the series, and James Craig plays Dr. Tommy Coalt, but Barrymore has only a minor role in the movie, and there is a mystery involving a small town and a woman there who is thought to be insane, and the movie borrows heavily from the plots of "Our Town" and "King's Row") starring Lionel Barrymore (as Dr. Gillespie), James Craig, Lucille Bremer, Keye Luke, and Alma Kruger NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). OR you can't see the restoration because it was so well done, but the poster had fairly significant defects. OR no restoration was performed, but the defects are not major, and restoration could be done to the poster without re-backing it. See below for its pre-restoration defects (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had tears and creases along many foldlines, and some paper loss at the crossfolds, as well as smudges in the white background areas. The person who restored the poster did a pretty nice job restoring the above defects, but you can still somewhat see them (mostly the restoration along the foldlines).
