Date Sold 1/1/2019 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 5 unfolded 18x28 special posters from Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, the 1981 (released in the U.S. in 1982 as "The Road Warrior") George Miller Australian post-apocalyptic action science fiction (sci-fi) thriller sequel ("Just one man can make a difference."; "In the future, cities will become deserts, roads will become battlefields and the hope of mankind will appear as a stranger."; "When all that's left is one last chance, pray that he's still out there.somewhere!"; "'An Astonishing Action Masterpiece.'"; "Mad Max meets the challenge!"; "Written by Terry Hayes, George Miller with Brian Hannant"; "Music conducted and composed by Brian May") starring Mel Gibson (in the title role as Mad Max Rockatansky), Bruce Spence, Michael Preston, Max Phipps, Vernon Wells (as "Wez"), Dog, and Kjell Nilsson (as "Humungus"). Note that this movie was first released in Australia as a sequel to Mad Max, and was titled Mad Max 2. The movie was a giant hit and distributors wanted to release it in the U.S., but since the first movie had only had a very limited release in the U.S., they re-titled it so as to not confuse audiences (but they printed a limited number of international "Mad Max 2" one-sheets in the U.S., which are far more rare than the "The Road Warrior" U.S. one-sheets).
