The Ramparts We Watch, the 1940 Louis De Rochemont patriotic 'March of Time' documentary ("SEE YOURSELF in this story of your nation's destiny"; "Sub Sinks Lusitania"; "A Saga of Modern America"; "Life, Time and The March of Time presents The Ramparts We Watch"; "A new kind of full length feature picture"; "We hope that from The Ramparts We Watch the American people may gather something - perhaps much - that shall strengthen and sustain their convictions, their faith, and their hopes during the perilous and trying days ahead.") starring John Adair, John Summers, Andrea King, Julia Kent, and Ellen Prescott. Note that The March of Time people claim that this documentary contained footage that was seized from a Nazi ship en route to South America, and that it had been shown to "Norway, Denmark, Holland, and Belgium to scare them into making way for his Blitzkrieg". They promoted it by saying "Can Hitler cast his shadow over our liberty", adding "he thinks he can... see his own film".
