A 1942 Re-Release Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Last Frontier, the 1932 Spencer Gordon Bennet & Thomas Storey cowboy western serial ("Courtney Ryley Cooper's red-blooded drama of fighting men and fighting days") starring Lon Chaney Jr. (billed as "Creighton Chaney"), Dorothy Gulliver, Ralph Bushman (billed as "Francis X. Bushman, Jr."; son of the famous actor, and he was billed that way to improve his popularity; he made lots of movies in the 1920s through the early 1940s, and then he completely retired in 1943), Joe Bonomo (famous strong man who vied with Charles Atlas for the "Most Perfect Man", he appeared in 32 movies, but like Atlas, his primary business was selling books and pamphlets telling how to acquire a body like his!), Yakima Canutt, and Mary Jo Desmond NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that Lon Chaney Jr. had been billed as "Creighton Chaney" when this movie was first released in 1932. But when it was re-released in the 1940s (perhaps soon after his starring role in "The Wolf Man"), he was now prominently billed as "Lon Chaney Jr.". Guaranteed Pictures appears to be have been in business from around 1935 to 1947. They often re-released movies (sometimes they re-edited them and used new titles), but they also distributed first release films as well. Our best guess as to when this item is from is given above.
