A Japanese Art Print (measures 14" x 20" [36 x 51 cm]) (Learn More) Margaret Keane is a painter from the 1950s to the present, best-known for her portraits of women and children with large eyes. Much of her art from the 1960s is attributed to her second husband, Walter, however Keane won a lawsuit against him over credit given, after having a 'paint-off' in the courtroom to prove she was the real artist! Her life story was made into a 2014 Tim Burton film called "Big Eyes", which starred Amy Adams as Margaret, and Christoph Waltz as Walter. Some of her works include: Harlequin Girl, Love Makes a World of Difference, Ladies in Waiting, and The Stray. As of 2021, she is still alive at the age of 93!
