An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Passing Parade, the 1955 compilation of three short subjects from the classic "John Nesbitt's Passing Parade" series, which started as a radio show in 1937 and continued to 1951 on the radio, but was also a series of 64 one-reel short subjects at MGM from 1938 to 1949, all of which were produced and narrated by John Nesbitt. In 1955, MGM put three of the earlier ones together and released it as a second bill called simply "Passing Parade" ("Amazing secrets behind the scenes of famous events!"). We don't know if there was only one of these compilations made, or if there were several, because we have only seen a single one-sheet (perhaps this compilation was not successful and it was not repeated). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. In the 1960s, they were shown on television in a re-edited format, and then have again been seen on Turner Classic Movies in their original format. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster had minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well. Learn More about condition grades
